MiMi Chic started from my love of making things.  My interest started with
drawing & painting as a young girl.  It continued to grow when my mother
enrolled me in private art lessons and summer art programs.  I began to
render original clothing designs and decided that I wanted to learn how to
construct them as well.
 I majored in Fashion Design in college with a Minor in Art. While in college, I immersed myself in the visual arts.  Deciding to further my knowledge of photography, I returned to college in 2008 and earned my Certification in 2009.  I continued to nurture my creativity and used all the things I learned to help me.  
I've designed proms dresses, altered wardrobe for clients, taught children art afterschool, been commissioned to paint custom abstract artwork, photographed models, weddings & families, and decided that displaying all my work on a website would be the best option for me.  
The world sees fashion, photography & art as separate talents, but for me they are one in the same. Each of them require a visual keeness and a hands on process, while allowing me to express beauty as I see it.

What courier do you use to ship packages?

The United States Postal Service is used to ship packages.  Occassionally I will utilize FedEx for custom artwork or large pieces, but you will be informed ahead of time if I decide to do so.


How long does it take to receive a package from MiMi Chic?

Generally, it takes 5 - 7 business days to receive products from us, with the exception of custom made items.  These are made when they are ordered so you have to allow for that.  You will be notified by email of estimated arrival for custom items.


What is your return policy?

Store credit will be given for the purchase price of all eligible returned merchandise.(unworn or unused items are considered "eligible")  Store credit may then be used to purchase items throughout the store.   Shipping will not be refunded on any returned items and is the responsibility of the customer when shipping back to us.  We do not issue refunds for returned items.

What form of payment do you except ?


Paypal is the excepted form of payment on MiMi Chic.  It is versatile and you do not need to have an account through them to purchase.  They except all major credit cards as payment.  Paypal is a trusted and secure source of paying.

How do you handle Lost or Stolen Packages?

Shipments lost will be reshipped to the customer once it has been determined the original shipment cannot be delivered.  We are not responsible for lost or stolen items when incorrect addresses are provided by the customer.  Any packages returned to us as undeliverable will be reshipped at customer expense.  We are not responsible for refunding or replacing shipments for packages shown as delivered. 

What if I received a defective item or damaged package?

Inspect your items immediately.  If you believe you have received damaged items you must contact us within 3 days of receipt. NO EXCEPTIONS.  

Please notify us if you received defective/damaged items via email .  Indicate "DEFECTIVE" or "DAMAGED" in the subject line.  Include a picture of the defective or damaged area.  Lastly, please include your First and Last name, Order #, and product/code name of the item.


You will receive a response within 48 hours.


How long will a custom order take?

Custom orders require more time than regular items found on the website because they ARE made to order, so a definite time cannot be given but I will supply an estimate.  Estimates vary depending on the project.  I will always give your order priority and attempt to fulfill within a reasonable time frame.


Will I be contacted about the ongoing process of a custom order?

YES! You will. You will be allowed to make 2 changes during the custom process before it is finalized.  For artwork, you will be sent a picture via email and make tweaks based on that.  For customized clothing, you will be sent illustrations of the designs, after that I will make the final selection and no further changes can be made.
